Panoramic Digital X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays show the entire mouth area — all the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws —on a single x-ray. This type of x-ray is useful for detecting the position of fully emerged as well as emerging teeth, can identify impacted teeth, and aid in the diagnosis of tumors.

This x-ray provides a full picture of your whole mouth, providing the dentist with images of your upper and lower jaw, sinuses, and jaw joint. The purpose of a panoramic x-ray is to show the general condition of all the teeth, and is used to help document general tooth development, trauma, jaw joint pain, wisdom teeth, bone loss, and certain abnormalities.

Digital Radiography

Introducing digital imaging, available in our practice. This technology offers unparalleled benefits over traditional radiographs. An image is taken of your mouth with a digital sensor and downloaded into our computer, where it is immediately available. With results of 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays, they’re convenient, safe for the environment, and best of all, Digital X-Rays are safer for our patients.

Instrument Sterilization

Cleans, sterilize, and store our instruments in the most efficient and hygienic manner possible.

Intra-Oral Camera

An intra-oral camera is designed to take video or still photography. Dr. Mallonee can show you exactly what is going on inside your mouth and highlight areas where medical attention may be needed.

Soft Tissue Laser

For patients who find the vibration and high-pitched whine of traditional drills uncomfortable, there is another solution: laser dentistry. With this device there is no cause for heat or vibration in the mouth, and improves our patients’ comfort levels drastically, and is technologically advanced in that it can be used for treatments such as periodontal therapy (treatment for gum disease), or for cosmetic treatments like gum recontouring.

This innovative treatment uses laser-energized, cool water spray to cut soft tissue without generating any heat. And unlike some traditional dentistry procedures, the soft tissue laser will not irreversibly damage the soft tissue or pulp underneath your teeth. Cutting-edge, effective, and reliable, the soft tissue dental laser is the solution many patients have been waiting for.

TekScan

The T-Scan® is a diagnostic device that measures relative biting forces, including occlusal force, timing and location and is an ideal complementor to articulating paper.

The Wand

The WAND is a computer controlled local anesthetic injection system that helps conquer fear, pain and anxiety. A microprocessor controls the flow rate/volume ratio to ensure safe, virtually painless profound anesthesia

In short, this technology conquers the pain and anxiety of injections.

The microprocessor inside The WAND automatically ensures a steady flow rate regardless of tissue density. Constant, slow flow is one key to virtually pain-free injections.

The computer provides a flow of anesthetic directly ahead of the needle. This creates a pathway of anesthesia so you hardly feel the needle at all.

The source of discomfort for most injections, however, isn’t the needle, it’s the flow of the anesthetic into your tissue. The WAND delivers the anesthetic at an optimal flow rate for a comfortable injection.

We’ve taken the fear, anxiety and pain out of dental anesthetic injections!

We know that some patients get more nervous than others do at the mere sight of a needle and syringe. That’s why this office now performs anesthetic injections with a revolutionary system called The WAND.

It doesn’t look like a syringe. It doesn’t feel like a syringe.

The WAND allows injections that do not numb the lips, face and muscles of expression. Whether injections make you nervous or not, The WAND helps us provide a more effective anesthetic delivery and the onset of anesthesia is often faster. You’re more comfortable throughout the procedure, and we may be able to use techniques so you won’t experience the lingering numbness of your tongue, lips and face.

A more pleasant dental experience The WAND is an excellent example of our efforts to bring you helpful dental technology, and to aid all of our patients in having a pleasant, positive visit to our office. Feel free to ask us if you’d like to know more about this remarkable system.

VELscope

EARLY DETECTION IS CRITICAL

Detecting oral abnormalities early leads to more treatment options, potentially less invasive or radical treatments and better patient outcomes.

The VELscope® which centers on a wireless, handheld scope that applies tissue fluorescence visualization to identify oral mucosal abnormalities early – often months or even years before they can be identified with the unassisted eye.

PROPEL System

We continually strive to provide the best orthodontic treatment for our patients. We are delighted to offer PROPEL, which “accelerates” orthodontic treatments. This technology allows us to get most patients finished in half the time.

PROPEL can significantly shorten the duration of treatment, making orthodontics a more acceptable option. The PROPEL System provides a safe and effective means to accelerate orthodontic treatment in a targeted fashion rather than other systems that are applied in an uncontrolled manner on every tooth in the mouth.

PROPEL works with the patient’s own biology to stimulate the bone surrounding the teeth; helping the teeth to move faster and more predictably into their ideal position so we can reveal your new smile faster and in fewer visits to our office. Reducing the number of office visits with faster tooth movement will save both time and money for patients.

We provide PROPEL for Invisalign Clear Braces and Traditional Braces. If you would like to accelerate your orthodontic treatment today, ask us about PROPEL!
