After practicing traditional dentistry for many years, Dr. Mallonee shifted her focus to “Optimum Dental Physiology” (ODP dentistry). ODP is unique in that the physiological reasons contributing to a dental breakdown are incorporated into the dental treatment. The result is that underlying medical issues are improved and the dental issue is resolved. As an example, any underlying airway constriction issues, as well as the presenting issue of jaw joint pain, are addressed in the treatment of Tempromandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ).
